In addition to the quiet of running in winter, I love the snow gently falling (it actually was blowing sideways at times), crisp breezes (gusts to 45 mph), scenic trails (when I could see anything), and ever changing weather. This 11 mile run had lots and lots of up (2100 ft in 4.5 miles), but it was a sweet trip down. I couldn't have found a better way to spend the day.
Started on switchbacks - clear but windy
The storm blew through about the time I hit the summit
The back side of the mountain had about 12 in.
Back to the river (and clear skies) after exiting the canyon
More of a White Friday than Black Friday. :) Hope you were dressed for it! Where was this? You were better than I was....
